Last Saturday, July 11 I went to a Sounders game with the Singles branch here. It was interesting but fun. It was my first MLS game and a good one at that. The Sounders played Houston Dynamos and won 2-1. Houston scored in the first half and then Sounders scored one in the first and one in the second half. After half time I decided I should take a few pictures I took one of the game as a whole and then as I was taking my camera out one of the Sounders players went to go score a goal. I totally had it and when I went to look at it a girls head that was walking by was in the picture and I missed it! One of the Sounders players bicycle kicked it into the goal. Overall it was a good game and it was very crowded. The fans there are crazy and really into it! It was great. After the game I saw this older man who was wearing a bright green pimp suit! It was a highlight after the game! I took a picture on my phone.
After the game a big group of us went to Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious. Even the food and of course the cheesecakes. I split a meal with a friend and then ordered a lemon raspberry cheesecake. It was heavenly and I have been craving it since I have had it. I will definately have to go and get some when I move to Utah. It will be a lot closer.

Mom & Dad
Mom and Dad finally updated their blog but had to change their blog address. Mom couldn't remember what the other one and so we just created a new one. Anyway, their new blog address is http://joegisela.blogspot.com or you can go to their page from my friends and family. It is still called momma and papa.

The New Way to Lose Weight
The last week was quite an interesting week. Last Thursday Greg and his family came up to visit. Friday I went to work got off at 12:30 then came home and had a headache and a really bad stomach ache. As Friday continued on I was sitting outside watching Dad and Greg paint the house and continued to feel pretty crummy. Come Friday night and Saturday I definately had the flu. Not only was it over a holiday and family was visiting but it lasted for quite a few days. Come yesterday I was finally able to eat and keep it down or in. Needless to say I am 10 pounds lighter and am feeling much better now. However, Greg's kids have it now. Sorry guys!
I also have an update on student teaching placement. I still don't know but should be sent to me end of next week! Hopefully they send it on time and I get it before I leave. I am so ready to know! All this waiting better be worth it.

Anxiuosly Awaiting
I am constantly checking my email and everything else to see if I got my student teaching placement. Day after day nothing shows up except email from those who have already heard and are looking for carpool. All I want to know is what school, grade, when I start and what the heck I will be doing actually. So amidst all the waiting I am growing very impatient.

IDEAS???
So I am helping a few of the ladies from the home ward throw a baby shower for Sherilyn and they put me in charge of games. I am trying to come up with a few new games that haven't been played around here. If you have any ideas I would really appreciate it. The shower is this Thursday.
On a side note, to my last blog about getting my endowments out. The branch president told me I was too young to go and get them and went off about other things. THat is a whole other story that if you want to hear me rant and rave about then ask. Life is going pretty good. I am loving the weather up here and have been burnt a few times but i still love it!

It's been awhile since...
So it has been awhile since I have worked at JanSport again. Let's say like 9 months. Well, no worries, I am back there for you Greggor. I absolutely did not want to go back to JanSport, but I couldn't find a job anywhere else so I went back. I turned in my app one day and a few hours later I got a call asking me to come in and get started on paperwork the next day. Two weeks later, I started. My first day I went in for orientation- why we have to do it every time we go back there is beyond me- but anyway. I went in and then after orientation they sent us home and said don't come back until MOnday, that was Thursday the 30th. So I go into work Monday and worked 7 hours, Tuesday worked 4 but got a phone call after i left to say don't come in. Wed worked a few hours then finally got to full 8 hour days. Well today and at least for the next week we are working overtime trying to get 60,000 some odd units (bags) processed and shipped asap. It's been crazy but in the end it will all be worth it. Hopefully this will be the last time I am employed for JanSport. Work isn't too bad thanks to having like 6 of my friends working with me.
Also on a side note, I went in Wednesday night after institute and had a "meeting" with the branch president for the hopes of getting my endowments out. I am just waiting to get the okay from stake president. I really hope that I get approved. It is something that has been on my mind and impressed in me for the last while. If not I guess I will just have to accept it and find the good in it. While at my meeting I was really frustrated with the branch president. He was talking to me like I knew absolutely nothing. But that is a whole other story. I'll keep you updated...

Graduation

I did it! I graduated college! Friday, April 10, 2009 I walked with 1,000 something other graduates. There was about a 100 in the education department. For graduation we had the opportunity to hear and learn from the newly called apostle Elder Anderson. He gave a wonderful talk on Wisdom. After commencement the education department also got the chance to hear from him and President Clarke at our commencement. It hasn't really sunk in yet that I graduated college. I don't think it will until the fall when I don't go back to Rexburg. All that I have left is my student teaching. I still don't have the exact placement but I do know that I will be in South Salt Lake somewhere. I just want mom and dad and my "idaho" family to know that I love them and am so glad that they were there with me to share this wonderful accomplishment with me. Thanks guys!
